The article presents information about the book "India and the Future," by William Archer. This book has the merit of being candid, outspoken and firm. The author has taken pains to study the subject and has not minced words to express his opinions and impressions. He is always sure of his conclusions and positive in his opinions. His conclusions about existing political conditions in India are valuable. Archer sees no need of making any sort of apology in admitting that the Indian Viceroy's Government is absolutely autocratic in relation to the people of India.
