The article presents an extract from a report of an address delivered by the South African military leader Jan Christiaan Smuts in view of the present discussion concerning terms of peace and the reception by the Allied Governments of the recent offer made by Germany. According to Smuts, German peace moves have been offensive insults to the rest of the world. Hence, Smuts does not believe in international conferences. Germany has not revealed its conditions for peace. Smuts advices Germany for a fair deal.
