The article presents information about six books on Russia. The names of the books are "Trapped in "Black Russia"," by Ruth Pierce, "My Empress," by Marfa Mouchanow, "Surgeon Grow. An American in the Russian Fighting," by Malcolm C. Grow. "A Diary of the Russian Revolution," by James L. Houghteling, Jr. "Donald Thompson in Russia," by Donald C. Thompson, "Runaway Russia," by Florence MacLeod Harper. "Trapped in `Black Russia,'" written by the wife of the agent of an American corporation in Bulgaria, contains some vivid descriptions of conditions in the Ukraine during the first years of the war.
