The article focuses on the book "Virgin Islands. The New Possessions and the British Islands," by Theodoor De Booy and John T. Faris. The book is an authoritative book on the Virgin Islands, which mark another step in the colonial development of the U.S., has plainly been needed, and this imposing volume of Messrs. Not that the style is particularly interesting or that the quaintness and beauty of these islands have been pictured with the charm with which a Lafcadio Hearn would have portrayed them.
