The article focuses on the book "National Progress, 1907-1917," by Frederic A. Ogg. Herein is told, carefully and systematically, the story of the revolt against the Republican party, the overthrow of Cannonism, the disintegrating Progressive movement, the growth of popular political control in the States, the achievement of tariff and currency reform, the spread of woman suffrage, the attempts at curbing Trusts and preventing strikes, and the parti-colored course of foreign relations.
