The article presents information about the forthcoming publications of new books. The May publications of G.P. Putnam's Sons include the following: "The Smiting of the Rock -- A Tale of Oregon," by Palmer Bend; "Danny the Detective," by V.C. Barclay; "A Girl Alone," by Horvel Evans; "Greatheart," by Ethel K Dell. The Putnams, acting as the American representatives of the Cambridge University Press, announce the publication of the following volumes: "Materials for the Study of the BábI Religion," compiled by E.G. Browne and Thomas Adams; "The Book of Joshua," by G. A. Cooke.
