The article focuses on the fact that development of free trade among nations can improve international relations and may result in world peace. Prospects of trade liberalism have greatly improved during the year 1917, and the U.S. President Thomas Woodrow Wilson signalized the coming of the new year with a courageous call for the removal of all economic barriers and the establishment of an equality of trade conditions among all the nations consenting to the peace and associating themselves for its maintenance.
