This article focuses on books "The Song of Hugh Glass," written by John S. Neihardt, "Songs to Save a Soul," written by Irene Rutherford McLeod, "The Factories, and Other Lyrics," written by Margaret Widdemer, "The House That Was, and Other Poems," written by Benjamin R.C. Low, "Sappho in Levkas, and Other Poems," written by William Alexander Percy, "Dreams and Dust," written by Don Marquis, and "The Cup of Comus," written by Madison Cawein. "The Song of Hugh Glass" is one of those well-born poems which draw their themes from the author's neighborhood and their inspiration straight from his heart. For a woman of twenty-three, Irene McLeod's verses are unusual. Percy's book is in the neo-classic vein.
