In Kansas, politics still remains the exclusive property of the newspaper man. Thus in the primary last week Governor Arthur Capper, of the Capper publications, carried off the nomination for the Senatorship by a tremendous majority; Henry J. Allen, of the Wichita Beacon, defeated William Y. Morgan, of the Hutchinson News, while James L. Bristow, of the Salina Journal, also ran. The Censorship Board came to the rescue of the press this week by ordering the censoring of all incoming press messages at the office of the Postal Press Censor in New York. Heretofore, press mail has been edited by the General Censorship in Washington, with unnecessary delays as the result.
