The article presents information on various books. Books discussed are: "The Man From Bar-20: A Story of the Cow Country," by Clarence E. Mulford, "Bruce of the Circle," by Harold Titus, "The Sheriff's Son," by William MacLeod Raine. In the book "The Sheriff's Son" a heart should be tangled somewhere in the lariats that decorate the covers of both volumes. The contrast between East and West, vice and wildness, the tenderfoot and the knight of the plains, is here as usual. It is clear from the first page that the only way out for everybody concerned is to have the wretched husband put out of the way.
