The Historicity of Daniel

The book "Studies in the Book of Daniel," by Robert Dick Wilson, discusses several historical questions. He believes that he can prove the historicity of King Nebuchadnezzar II's campaign in the third year of King Jehoiakim without attempting to relate King Jeremiah. Jehoiakim was in Jerusalem both in the third and fourth years, or, as Jeremiah would say, in his fourth and fifth years. King Zedekiah's journey to the Babylonian court offers absolutely no parallel to Jehoiakim's deportation. It is known from the inscriptions that King Gobryas was Governor of Babylon, and that he was in this office of Governor, even thirteen years later.
