The article presents information on some books on war. The books discussed are: "What Germany Is Fighting For," by Charles Waldstein; "Fighting for Peace," by Henry Van Dyke; "America's Case Against Germany," by Lindsay Rogers. Charles Waldstein's little volume deals largely with the manifesto published last year by Dietrich Schafer in Das Gröoss ere Dezttschland, the official expression of the "Independent Committee for a German Peace" and of the "Six Associations." In the opinion of the author, its sponsors dissociated themselves from the extreme annexationists. "Fighting for Peace" informs his countrymen in simple and vivid way how the Germans make war and what issues are involved in the struggle.
