The article presents an overview of the book "The Monarchy in Politics," by James Anson Farrer. It deals in a general way with the whole course of dynastic influence upon the development of English politics. Farrer has not written for the benefit of those who are wholly unfamiliar with the history of European politics during the nineteenth century. The book is rather for those who are already versed in the general course of events, who have attained to morel than a casual acquaintance with the statesmen and diplomats of the period.
