Guessing around Giotto

The article presents an overview of the book "Giotto and Some of His Followers," by Oswald Sirén. Sirén has merely refurbished the excellent talks he has been giving on Giotto, with extracts from former books on Giotto, Giottino and other followers, and more particularly with the latest hypotheses which have dawned upon the most volatile of critics. Giotto is seen only at Padna, in Sta. Croce, and in two panels, including the lately recovered Dormition of the Virgin, now in Berlin.
