This article presents information about the book "The Frontiers of Language and Nationality in Europe," by Leon Dominian. In this scholarly work, Mr. Dominian traces the connection existing between linguistic areas in the European continent and its political sub-divisions. Among the main contentions established by Mr. Dominian are that language exercises a powerful formative influence in nationality and that linguistic frontiers generally are the dividing lines among various types of economic and social conditions. By far the largest part of the book is devoted to a systematic presentation of facts bearing upon the main points under consideration. The book also contains several appropriate plates and a number of maps constructed with special care and worthy of careful consideration by the reader.
