The article presents comments on various books. According to the author, Chase S. Osborn, governor of Michigan from 1911 to 1913 has published the story of his life in a book which he calls "The Iron Hunter," because the quest for new deposits of iron has been the absorbing passion of his life. More people are likely to be interested in the account of his public activities than in his frequently technical discussions of siderite and hematite ores. Comments on "James Madison's Notes of Debates in the Federal Convention of 1787 and Their Relation to a More Perfect Society of Nations" by James Brown Scott are also presented.
