The article presents various books. "The Clintons and Others," by Archibald Marshall, "Far-Away Stories," by William J. Locke, "Luna Benamor," by Vicente Blasco Ibáñez, "Off Duty. A Dozen Yarns for Soldiers and Sailors," compiled by Wilhelmina Harper. Marshall is a distinguished artist. His short stories escape the two chief dangers of barren ingenuity and external effectiveness at any price. He cultivated that finer type of story which sums up a man and his whole fate in a few pages. The short stories of William J. Locke are quite like his well-known novels.
