The article focuses on the book "Carnegie Pensions," by S. McKeen Cattell. Professor Cattell has performed a valuable service to the academic profession and to the cause of educational administration by publishing in book-form a series of documents showing the sentiment of professors toward the flagrant mismanagement of the important trust instituted for their benefit by the wise philanthropy of Mr. Carnegie. The striking testimony of more than two hundred professors reflects a widespread distrust of the Foundation and a determined protest against further commitment of educational or professional interests to those responsible for the disaster.
