The German Works Councils Bill

The article presents a summary of the Works Council Bill passed by the German National Assembly on January 18, 1920. The Works Councils Bill, as passed by the National Assembly, is the partial realization of the promise contained in Article 165 of the German National Constitution adopted July 31, 1919. The text of the Article states: "The workers and office employees are qualified to take part with equal rights and in cooperation with the employers in the regulation of wage and labor conditions, as well as in the entire economic development of the productive forces. The organizations on both sides and their agreements are recognized."
