The article presents information on the book "Man or the State," edited by Waldo R. Browne. Browne has here brought together seven essays by as many distinguished men, the general plea of which is for a renascent individualism. They are of very unequal merit and two, at least, it is difficult to treat with seriousness. The State today enjoys its Indian summer of prerogative, and it is well to be reminded that there have been different times. They are of very unequal merit and two, at least, it is difficult to treat with seriousness.
