The article presents information related to some books in the United States. For the 14 living governors who stalk through the pages of "Our American Kings," by Frederick L. Collins, are metaphorically, and often literally, revealed in their shirt-sleeves, now rolled up, now held aloft by armlets. A disinterested mind expressing itself in a breezy, newspaper style of "You Takes Your Choice," by Clinton W. Gilbert, is a rare phenomenon. Gilbert concedes that with one unimportant exception he does not "give two pins" for any of the presidential or vice-presidential candidates whom he so keenly and carefully dissects.
