The article presents information on various books. The book "The Novels of Jane Austin," has been edited by R.W. Chapman. Chapman has written informed and piquant disquisitions on Austen's English, the reading and writing and modes of address observed among her characters. Patrick Braybrooke's consideration of Hilaire Belloc is as curious as his book "Some Thoughts on Hilaire Belloc," about Chesterton in both instances he talks completely around his subject, giving expression to nebulous ideas which are either irrelevant or unimportant.
