This article presents information about the books "Wild Marriage," by B. H. Lehman; "Under the Levee," by E. Sparling; "Buckfurrow," by G. D. Eaton; "Music and Musicians," by L. J. De Bekker and "A Dictionary of Modern Music and Musicians." Mr. Lehman manages to harvest a fair crop of wild oats and that is about all. It required two generations to plant it and much hoeing of the weeds of puritanism to bring it off successfully. Mr. Sparling possesses a sense of style which he wisely refrains from using as a plaything, making it instead definitely subservient to his purpose as a story-teller.
