This article presents information related to several books related to the field of architecture. These books include "The ABC of Architecture," by Matlock Price, "The Essence of Architecture," by W.R. Greely, "Mudejar," by A. Georgiana Goddard King and "Ruined Abbeys of Great Britain," by R.A. Cram. First two of these books are excellent examples of how two different lines of attack on the same problem, the popularization of architecture can give two contrasting results. The book "The Essence of Architecture," though even briefer, seems profound. It is a carefully organized and well-presented analysis of the art of architecture, its aims, its methods, its achievements.
