In this campaign, there have been frank admissions of the fact from quarters in which the effort has hitherto been made to convince the voters that there really were radical differences between what the Republicans and Democrats stood for. U.S. politician Walter Lippmann was quite open about it in his radio debate the other night with Ogden L. Mills, the Assistant Secretary of the Treasury. The only difference between the two platforms on foreign affairs, Mr. Lippmann admitted, was that while both were voluble and vague, the Republican took longer to read.
