This article presents information on several books. Some of the books are "George Washington, 1762-1777," by Rupert Hughes, "Washington Speaks for Himself," by Lucretia Perry Osborn, are some of the books. This second volume of the book, by Hughes, is even more interesting and scholarly, and even more packed with proof, but one may expect a renewal of the hue and cry against the author from professional patriots. Hughes is clearly concerned with a search for truth about the biography of former U.S. President George Washington, which is, presumably, the purpose of any honest historian. In "Washington Speaks for Himself" Lucretia Perry Osborn has given a connected stony of his activities and thoughts in his own language; with just enough editing to make the story consecutive. It is as interesting as an autobiography.
