Left and Right in the Needle-Trades Unions

Three important conventions of the United States needle trades unions have recently been concluded and a new chapter written in the history of the most interesting and progressive labor organizations in the United States. The convention of the International Ladies' Garment Workers' Union was a jubilee to celebrate achievements of a quarter of a century. Executive Samuel Gompers brought congratulations of the American Federation of Labor (AFL) telegrams came from chiefs of practically every AFL union hailing the International as a progressive fighting organization.
