The article focuses on the book "Foreign Exchange," by Albert C. Whitaker. According to the author, the foreign exchanges have been doing many queer things during and since the war. The fluctuations in values are affecting materially the daily life and well-being of millions of people in all parts of the world. Novel and frequently unsound explanations of the new values are current. The purchasing power of the money circulating in many countries which formerly had a gold standard has been cut loose from gold and the moneys of different countries can no longer be reduced to a common denominator.
