This article presents information on the book "A Wayfarer in Czecho-Slovazkia," by author E.I. Robson. In this book the author begins with a word about the Czech people, their customs and their country. He goes on to an historical sketch of Prague, which he is tempted to misname a "great international capital." Even though Prague has ever been the focal point of Czech culture and art, it is by no means outwardly a world center like Berlin, Vienna, or even Budapest. History in Central Europe is as vividly remembered as if it all happened yesterday, and Robson is on the right track when he attempts to interpret the spirit of the Czech people by telling about their idols, like Jan Hus the reformer and the extraordinary Hussite Jan Zizka.
