The article presents information about two volumes of the book The Structure of Politics at the Accession of George III, written by L.B. Namier. A new reputation was made when Mr. Namier, tutor of Balliol College, Oxford, published this book, being the first two volumes of a larger work which is to include a study of the imperial problem during the American Revolution. Namier's book involves an important revision of the estimate of eighteenth-century politics of the extent of political corruption by court or governmental funds, of the importance of rotten boroughs, and of the part played by parties.
