The article presents an overview of the book "A Story Teller's Story," by Sherwood Anderson. This autobiography has the singular merit of presenting in a most engaging manner a key to all sides of its author's literary character. Parts of it must have been written desultorily, and other parts rapidly; some of it is humorous, rippling with gaiety and boyishness; some of it is introspective, brooding, testamentary. Except for occasional asides on morality and aesthetics there is little in this story of boyhood to foreshadow the author that was to come.
