The article presents information about men and things in the political and social life of Washington during the present season. As the Senate was passing its postal-pay bill the House of Representatives was serving notice that it would flatly and completely reject this measure and would even refuse to go to conference upon it because the Senatorial actors had exceeded their power and stolen the parts and privileges of their fellow-actors in the House.
