This article presents information on the book "Literary Memoirs of the Nineteenth Century," vol. 1, "Studies of a Litterateur," vol. 2, "Heart of Man and Other Papers," vol. 3, "Appreciation of Literature and America in Literature," and vol. 4, " The Torch and Other Lectures and Addresses," and vol. 5, "Literary Essays," by George Edward Woodberry. By collecting his literary criticism, or by permitting the society which bears his name to collect it, Woodberry incurs the query whether he is to he known among critics of the U.S., and indeed the world's.
