This article presents information on the book "The Ancient Inhabitants of the Canary Islands," by Earnest A. Hooton. The Canary Island is in the Atlantic, off the coast of Africa and stretching across five degrees of longitude. In these islands are several fairly distinct types of people. There are undecipherable writings on the rocks of some of the islands, there are several types of culture, there are linguistic differences. The importance of the inhabitants' problems involved, has attracted the attention of numerous scientists, and many hypotheses have been advanced.
