Sex Standards in Moscow

Russia since the revolution has been an experimental laboratory in sex relationship. The innovations in family and personal standards under the Communist regime constitute the first deliberate attempt by a modern nation to alter its fundamental sex ideals. The most striking result of the Communist regime in the field of sex life is the complete frankness of the younger generation in Moscow in facing and discussing sex problems. One night last August an outdoor meeting of young Communists was held in Moscow to discuss the problem of abortion. This frankness in public discussion of sex problems probably constitutes a more important contribution to the solution of sex problems than any actual changes that have taken place in Russian family life.
