The article provides information on the book "Contre la Guerre Nouvelle. Par Barthelemy de Ligt." This book is an able exposition of the revolutionary pacifist point of view which, while we seldom hear of it in the news, has become a doctrine of faith to a number of Europeans. Barthelemy de Ligt, a Dutchman, does not believe much in institutions or organizations; but he does believe that war is a crime and should be abolished by peoples. He urges resistance to conscription in peace time as well as in war; and he is opposed to non-combatant service on the ground that it is a moral sanction of war.
