This article literally appraises the book "Skeptical Essays," by Bertrand Russell. Mr. Russell has written this book to maintain the simple but revolutionary theses that "when the experts are agreed, the opposite cannot be held for certain; that when they are not agreed, no opinion can be regarded as certain by a non-expert and that when they all hold that no sufficient grounds for a positive opinion exists, the ordinary man would do well to suspend his judgment."
