"O America! because you build for mankind, I build for you," such is the inscription on the title-page of Mr. Ernest Bloch's latest composition "Epic Rhapsody for Orchestra." Mr. Bloch is a musician of proved worth and integrity, and as such commands the interest of a goodly portion of music-going public. His symphony "Israel" has recently come into its own, and found for itself an important place in our concert repertoire. In this most recent work he has set for himself a task of almost impossible dimensions, a goal of bewildering elusiveness.
