The article discusses the book "The New American Caravan," edited by Alfred Kreymborg. This, the third issue of a praiseworthy undertaking, comes as a distinct disappointment after the first and second issues. For one thing, the actual material has been cut down by at least a third, possibly more. Fatigued reviewers will be cheered up, perhaps; on the other hand, it may be argued that a collection of experimental, advanced writing should be as copious as possible, even at the risk of including occasional mediocre pieces, in order that the reader may get some large sense of the tendency of the literary vanguard.
