The article discusses the book "The Autobiography of Calvin Coolidge." Nobody of understanding would expect Coolidge to write a good autobiography. Only a person who has both the wish and the capacity for self-revelation can produce such a work. Considering his notorious reticences, Coolidge would seem to be almost the worst possible person to write the story of his life.
