The article presents information on several books. Some of these are as, "Daisy, Princess of Pless; "Aspects of Biography," by André Maurois; "English Political Portraits of the Nineteenth Century," by G.R. Stirling Taylor; "Attila: the Scourge of God," by Marcel Brion and "Birds and Beasts of the Greek Anthology," by Norman Douglas. "The Spirit of Catholicism," by Karl Adam is a clear and dispassionate exposition of the theory of the Catholic church. It will neither convince the skeptical nor satisfy those who are accustomed to the historical treatment of religion; but it will prove valuable to anyone interested in understanding the position of a learned, reasonable, but completely orthodox Catholic theologian.
