The article focuses on the book "Swinburne," by Samuel C. Chew. The publication of the Bonchurch Edition of Swinburne's works gives Professor Chew a fitting occasion to issue the study of Swinburne upon which he has been engaged for many years. The sheer bulk of Swinburne's work, lacking though it often is in qualities of rich design and fullness of concept, gives to students of literature a body of versions and reconstructions of traditional themes which has been investigated only slightly.
