This article literally appraises several books. The book "Armenia and the Near East," written by Fridtjof Nansen, is a curious hodge-podge of travelog, personal reminiscence, historical allusion, geographical observations, and other odds and ends apparently gathered by Dr. Nausea from his letters, notebooks and diaries. Another book "How the Old Woman Got Home," by M.P. Shiel presents a surprisingly ingenious and absorbing mystery story.
