This article literally appraises several novels. In one of the novel "Ida Brandt," by Hermann Bang, scenes shift from a large estate on an island off the Danish coast to Copenhagen. Another novel "We Forget Because We Must," is written by W.B. Maxwell. Anyone who has a great deal of time on his hands may find certain pleasant rewards in reading this latest novel by Mr. Maxwell, who belongs to the school of writers who believe that the end justifies the means. Another novel "Black Sadie," is written by T. Bowyer Campbell. This is a clever, breezy, rapid story of a completely heart of less and amoral little pickaninny who managed to ride on the crest of every wave that came her way and was eventually swept into affluence and fame as a dancer in a New York night club.
