A fond mother expressed her enthusiasm to the Drifter recently in regard to the physique of the next generation. "How much healthier men and women and children are going to be than we are," she said. The Drifter did as he was bid and thought about these things. In fact he had thought about them before--without becoming so enthusiastic as the mother to whom he was talking. But with all this care will the next generation be better physically than its parents? The Drifter believes it will be lucky if it keeps even with the game.
