The article presents discussions on various topics. At first sight the Wagner-Ellenbogen Housing bill seems a poor substitute for the type of housing legislation which the U.S. Administration has promised on numerous occasions. The total expenditure contemplated under the bill during a four-year interval is only U.S. $976,000,000, or U.S. $98 for each of the 10,000,000 families which housing facilities. Nevertheless, the bill is sound in that it represents the first carefully planned program for providing housing for the low-income groups in the U.S.
