The article presents information on several books. The publication of the books "A Brief Account of Diplomatic Events in Manchuria," by Sir Harold Parlett, and "The International Relations of Manchuria," by B.C. Walter Young, relating to the chief danger spot of the Orient is singularly appropriate in view of the controversy between China and Russia over the Chinese Eastern Railway. "A History of Canada," by Carl Wittke, is carefully written book, one of the Borzoi Historical Series, is evidence of a growing interest in Canada now evident in the United States, long half-forgetful that it bad a Northern neighbor.
