This article discusses several political and economic issues. As the British investigation of the riots in Palestine comes to an end, and as the passions aroused in connection with those outbreaks gradually cool, people are struck with the substantial agreement among intelligent and well-disposed observers, Jewish and non-Jewish alike, on certain essentials of the Palestinian question, however sharply they may have differed concerning the events of the months just past. The primary interest, however, is not in the wrongs and mistakes of the past, or even in the immediate responsibility for them. The concern is with the future. Zionism, people believe, has a genuine cultural and spiritual contribution to make to modern life.
