This article presents information on the U.S. President's commission on Haiti has which has done an astonishingly quick and effective piece of work, for which the people of Haiti and the United States alike have cause to be grateful; for it promises at once to restore freedom to Haiti and to reestablish the honor of the United States. The United Press at once sent a special correspondent by airplane to Haiti to supplement the work of its regular correspondents, and the Associated Press also made special and commendable efforts to cover the situation. Increasing knowledge caused increasing public restiveness and led to appointment of the commission.
