This article presents information related to socio-politics. As for Haiti, the U.S. Senate has refused the commission of U.S. President Herbert Hoover to investigate affairs there but has voted him $50,000 for any sort of analysis he chooses to make, at that price, of the island. It is doubtful if Hoover can get a good commission with all the necessary trimmings for the modest sum he may now spend. But as a Senator of Wisconsin has pointed out more than once, with increasing bitterness each time, the facts with regard to Haiti are already at the President's disposal if he wishes to make use of them.
